MERSD Strategic
Planning
MERSD is undertaking a two-year
strategic planning process to define our roadmap for developing a future-focused education program. Phase one
will be focused on developing a Vision of the Graduate. Following the blueprint from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), this work will be facilitated by the High School
Principal, and it will seek to define what students should know and be able to
do as a result of a Manchester Essex education.
In phase two, the profile will serve as the driver for the development
of a multi-year plan that establishes a set of goals and strategic initiatives
to achieve the Vision of the Graduate 2033.
As a first step, we are seeking your input.
A Request from
Principal Puglisi
MERHS has begun the
process of considering our philosophy of education as it relates to the Vision of the Graduate 2033. The MERSD current kindergarten class will
graduate in 2033. Looking ahead to the future, what do we, as a
community, think students will need to know and be able to do? What are
the skills and dispositions they will require to find success? The
outcome of this work will guide our future decisions about education.
We’d like your
input. Please complete the following form to let us know what skills and
knowledge you believe students will need to be successful in the future - Vision of the Graduate
We will provide
updates as we work through our process of the Vision of the Graduate. We may
also be seeking further input from our community stakeholders.
We are very excited about this undertaking, and we look forward to working with you to define the future of MERSD.
