The Manchester Essex debate team had a strong showing at their first tournament of the winter season, the Princeton Classic hosted by Princeton University. Four teams represented Manchester Essex in Public Forum debating the resolution: Resolved: The United States should end Plan Columbia.
The PF division was comprised of over two hundred entries from all over the nation. The team of Kahle and Larson finished with a record of 4-3, Bonaccorso and Benali 3-4, Brzezinski and Shan 3-4, and Fitzgibbon and Shaw 3-4.
Princeton was the first national tournament for four freshman members competing in Lincoln Douglas. The novice students were debating the December resolution: Resolved: The United States ought to limit qualified immunity for police officers. Bridget Miller, Lars Arnsten, Whitney Johnson, Paige Swanson finished with the respectable record of 2-4.
Senior Meehan Irose competed in Varsity Lincoln Douglas achieving a record of 3-3. Seniors Will Heslop and Noah Smith supported the team by judging Novice Lincoln Douglas.
