Easy Ways to Support Your Child and Adolescent at Home

Presenters:

1. Self-Advocacy:  Fostering the skill development in our students (For all parents, by Gillian Polk, Counselor)

2. Standardized testing accommodations for students with disabilities (For all parents of high school students, by Karen D’Amour, Counselor)

3. Supporting positive behavior at home (For parents of children PK-5, by Ashley Sartell and Melissa Goldner, SWING teachers)

4. Promoting positive play dates for children with learning disabilities (For parents of elementary age children, by Kim Egan, SAIL teacher)

5. Next steps: Transition planning and vision development (For parents of middle and high school age children, by Louise Vose, Special education chair)

6. Helping your child identify passions and interests (For all parents, by Kerri Schaub, Reading specialist)


Parents will be welcome to choose three of the six workshop sessions on the night of the event. Each session will approximately run for thirty minutes. Light refreshments will be served in between each session.
