MERSD Seeking Feedback

Manchester-Essex Regional School District is asking the entire community to weigh in on the best strategies to improve the district’s aging elementary school facilities through a brief Facilities Expansion Survey.  Designed in conjunction with independent technology and communication firm, K12 Insight, the survey seeks to gauge community awareness of critical facilities issues as well as learn stakeholder priorities and preferences.

Parents, teachers and staff with email addresses on file with the district will receive email invitations to participate. However, the survey is accessible to everyone in the MERSD Schools community via the district website www.mersd.org.  Anyone without access to the internet may visit a local school or library to take the survey online. As the district’s goal is to ensure community-wide participation, all responses are anonymous and confidential.

Once the survey is complete, the School Committee will share results with the community, along with an explanation of how they will use the data to inform next steps. Going forward, the School Committee will convene a task force commissioned to study these issues further and make recommendations on the future configuration of district elementary schools.
