At the May 28th School Committee meeting, the District Leadership Team provided a DIP progress report on the FY13 goals. With your help and through the collective and collaborative efforts of all the stakeholders, we are making solid progress toward reaching our goals and achieving our mission of Educating all students, instilling a passion for life-long learning, and encouraging both local and global citizenship!
Although the students are heading-off on vacation, MERSD remains a busy place throughout the summer. Faculty will be engaging in professional development ranging from literacy and STEM training to curriculum development; our summer teaching staff will continue to provide instructional and support services; our facilities and technical staff will be hard at work with annual maintenance and repairs to our buildings and grounds; and ,the leadership team will review the year’s progress and prepare for the year ahead.
As you may know beginning July 1st, we will have a new leadership team in place at the Middle High School. I know Ms. Puglisi (High School) and Mr. Guditus (Middle School) will impress you with their energy, intellect, professionalism, knowledge of curriculum and instruction, and experience. Together they will bring to MEMHS a collaborative approach and proven track record in instructional leadership as well as a vision of excellence, child-centeredness and continual improvement.
