I am happy to report that our COVID mitigation efforts are working to prevent the transmission of the virus at school. To date, we have only had eight positive cases districtwide. MERSD continues to implement the COVID procedures established at the start of the year, and we will revisit the plan monthly making adjustments as needed.
This year we will be reporting positive cases through our COVID Dashboard. The data will be updated on Wednesdays in preparation for the filing of our state report. As always if you have been identified as a close contact, the nurse will reach out to you individually. In the event we should have a spike in the number of positive cases that impact a classroom or team, I will send a notice to MERSD community.
